Statement of Faith

A detailed summary of the biblical truths we hold dear and seek to live by as a community of believers.

01

Scripture

Inspiration

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, given by the Holy Spirit through human authors.

Inerrancy

The Scriptures are without error in their original manuscripts, being God-breathed and therefore completely trustworthy in all that they affirm.

Sufficiency

The Bible is sufficient for all matters of faith and practice, providing everything needed for life and godliness.

Authority

Scripture is the final authority for what we believe and how we live, standing above all human tradition and opinion.

02

The Triune God

One God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Equal in Essence

These three Persons are equal in essence, attributes, power, and glory, yet distinct in their roles.

Divine Attributes

God is infinite, eternal, unchangeable, all-knowing, all-powerful, ever-present, perfectly holy, just, and loving.

03

God the Son – Jesus Christ

Incarnation

The eternal Son of God took on human nature, becoming fully man while remaining fully God—two natures in one Person forever.

Virgin Birth

Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, entering the world without inherited sin.

Perfect Life

He lived a sinless life, perfectly obeying the Father's will in every thought, word, and deed.

Substitutionary Death

Christ died on the cross as a substitute for sinners, bearing the wrath of God that we deserved, satisfying divine justice.

Bodily Resurrection

He rose bodily from the dead on the third day, triumphing over sin, death, and Satan.

Ascension & Intercession

He ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He now intercedes for His people as our High Priest.

Imminent Return

He will return personally, visibly, and imminently to gather His church and establish His kingdom.

04

God the Holy Spirit

Personhood

The Holy Spirit is a divine Person, not merely a force, possessing intellect, emotion, and will.

Conviction

He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, drawing people to Christ.

Glorifying Christ

His primary ministry is to glorify Christ, illuminating the Scriptures and applying Christ's work to believers.

Restraining Evil

He restrains evil in the world, preserving society and protecting God's redemptive purposes.

Regeneration

He regenerates sinners, giving new spiritual life to those who were dead in trespasses and sins.

Indwelling

He permanently indwells every believer from the moment of salvation.

Sealing

He seals believers as God's possession, guaranteeing our inheritance until redemption is complete.

Filling

He fills believers who yield to His control, producing spiritual fruit and empowering for service.

Gifting

He sovereignly distributes spiritual gifts to believers for the building up of the body of Christ.

05

Man & Sin

Image of God

Humanity was created in the image of God, designed for relationship with Him and to reflect His glory.

The Fall

Through Adam's disobedience, sin entered the world, affecting all of creation and bringing death.

Sin Nature

All people are born with a sinful nature, inclined toward sin and unable to please God apart from His grace.

Universal Guilt

Every person has sinned and stands guilty before a holy God, deserving His righteous judgment.

06

Salvation

By Grace Alone

Salvation is entirely by God's grace—His unmerited favor given to those who deserve only judgment.

Through Christ Alone

Salvation is found only through Christ's finished work on the cross—His perfect life, substitutionary death, and triumphant resurrection.

Repentance & Faith

Salvation is received through repentance (turning from sin) and faith (trusting in Christ alone for salvation).

Regeneration

God gives new spiritual life to the believer, creating a new heart with new desires.

Justification

God declares the believer righteous, crediting Christ's righteousness to them.

Sanctification

God progressively transforms the believer into Christ's likeness through the Spirit's work.

Glorification

God will ultimately complete our salvation, giving us resurrection bodies free from sin.

Assurance

True believers can have confident assurance of their salvation, kept by God's power.

07

Eternity

Heaven

Heaven is a real place where believers will dwell forever in God's presence, experiencing fullness of joy.

Hell

Hell is a real place of eternal conscious punishment, where those who reject Christ will be separated from God forever.

Final Judgment

All people will stand before God in judgment—believers for rewards, unbelievers for condemnation.

08

The Church

Christ the Head

Jesus Christ is the sole Head of the Church, and all authority in the church derives from Him.

Universal Church

The universal church consists of all true believers from every nation, united in Christ.

Local Church

The local church is a visible expression of the universal church, gathering for worship, teaching, fellowship, and mission.

Autonomy

Each local church is autonomous under Christ, governed by qualified elders according to Scripture.

Leadership

The church is led by a plurality of elders (overseers, pastors), assisted by deacons, all serving as under-shepherds of Christ.

Servant Leadership

Leadership is characterized by servant-heartedness, following Christ's example of humble service.

Submission

Members are called to submit to godly leadership, as leaders will give account for their care of souls.
